Along with business partners like The Grizzly Adams Company, Vital Ground conserves and connects landscapes for remaining grizzly populations by purchasing properties and working with willing landowners to implement conservation protections.
The Vital Ground mission is to protect and restore North America’s grizzly bear populations for future generations by conserving wildlife habitat and by supporting programs that reduce conflicts between bears and humans.
Our vision is a connected landscape from Yellowstone into Canada in which the grizzly and other wide-ranging wildlife have room to roam safely between wild strongholds. Connecting large blocks of public land with private lands, Vital Ground is the leader in ensuring the survival of grizzly bears in the Northern Rockies.

This year, The Vital Ground Foundation is celebrating 30 years and over 620,000 acres of conservation. The Grizzly Adams Company is honored to serve as a Business Partner for Conservation. Businesses who partner with The Vital Ground Foundation annually donate a portion of their profits or offer services or expertise. A percentage of the proceeds from our newly released children’s book “Grizzly Adams and the Bridge to the Meadow” goes directly to The Vital Ground Foundation.
